Privacy Policy

AltMemo is organizational memory infrastructure for enterprises. AltMemo is owned and operated by SAPDS LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Wyoming, United States. In this policy, "AltMemo", "we", "us", and "our" refer to SAPDS LLC.

SAPDS LLC is the controller of the personal information described in this policy — the information you provide to us, or that we collect automatically, when you visit altmemo.com. You can reach us at mann@altmemo.com.

AltMemo involves three clearly separate contexts. This policy applies to the first one only. Understanding the difference matters, because our relationship to the data is fundamentally different in each case.

You can read every public page on this website without creating an account. When you browse, we collect a limited set of first-party technical and usage information:

• Pages viewed, the time of the visit, and the order in which pages were visited.
• Approximate location — country and city — derived from your IP address. We use the IP address to derive this and do not store it as part of the analytics record.
• Browser and operating system family, and whether the device is desktop or mobile.
• Referring website, and any UTM campaign parameters present in the link you followed.
• A randomly generated session identifier so we can tell one visit apart from another. It is not tied to your name or email and is not used to build an advertising profile.

This website also has a small number of private, password-protected administrative pages used by our own team. Those pages are excluded from search engines and are not available to visitors.

If you contact us or request a pilot, you choose what to send. The form asks for your name, work email, company, and role, and optionally your team size, industry, country, deployment preference, primary use case, security or compliance notes, and any additional message.

We use these details to respond, to scope a pilot or architecture review, and to keep a record of the conversation. Please do not submit sensitive personal information, regulated data, or confidential customer records through the website forms — a scoping call is the right place for that kind of detail.

When you submit a form, we send you a confirmation email and notify our team internally. If you receive email from us and no longer want it, every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us directly.

We keep this deliberately minimal. This website uses first-party analytics that we operate ourselves; we do not embed third-party advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising tools.

We use browser storage for a session identifier used to group pageviews from a single visit, and, on our private administrative pages, for the sign-in session of our own team members. We do not sell your information and do not share it with advertising networks. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or similar preference signal, you can also block first-party storage in your browser settings; the public pages of the site will continue to work.

• To respond to inquiries, scope pilots, and coordinate architecture reviews and demonstrations.
• To send operational messages such as form confirmations and replies from our team.
• To understand which content is useful — aggregate traffic patterns, referral sources, and campaign performance — so we can improve the site.
• To keep the website and our internal tools secure, and to investigate abuse or technical errors.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and improving a business website and responding to inbound requests, on the steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you, and on our legal obligations. We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:

• Service providers. Vendors that host this website, store form submissions, and deliver our transactional email, acting on our instructions under contract.
• Professional advisors. Legal, accounting, and insurance advisors where needed and subject to confidentiality.
• Legal requirements. Where we are required to disclose information by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of SAPDS LLC, our customers, or the public.
• Corporate transactions. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to the information transferred.

Customer data inside a customer's AltMemo deployment is not part of this. Subprocessors and data flows for a deployment, where any exist, are set out in that customer's agreement.

• Form submissions and correspondence. Retained for up to 36 months from our last substantive contact, and longer where an active customer or contractual relationship, or a legal obligation, requires it.
• Website analytics events. Retained for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted or retained only in aggregate form.
• Email delivery and security logs. Retained for up to 12 months for troubleshooting, deliverability, and abuse investigation.

You can ask us to delete your contact details sooner, and we will do so unless we are required to keep them. Retention inside a customer deployment is configured and controlled by the customer through AltMemo's retention and governance settings.

We take security seriously because it is what our product is about. For this website and the systems that hold form submissions and analytics, we use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control with least-privilege defaults, row-level authorization on stored records, input validation and rate controls on public endpoints, an internal audit log of security-relevant events, and multi-factor authentication on administrative access.

Our architecture is designed to align with ISO 27001 practices, and we will pursue formal certifications such as SOC 2 where customer requirements justify it. We do not currently claim to hold those certifications, and nothing in this policy should be read as a certification, warranty, or guarantee. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe you have found a vulnerability, please report it to mann@altmemo.com and we will respond promptly.

Security of a customer deployment is a shared responsibility. AltMemo runs inside the customer's infrastructure boundary, so the customer's own network, identity, key management, and infrastructure controls govern that environment.

SAPDS LLC is based in the United States, and the systems supporting this website are operated there. If you visit or contact us from outside the United States, the information described in this policy will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where such transfers are subject to European, United Kingdom, or similar rules, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses with our service providers.

Data residency for a customer deployment is a separate matter and is configurable. AltMemo can be deployed in the region and environment a customer requires, with no cross-boundary movement of customer data by default.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive a copy in a portable format, to object to or ask us to restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, email mann@altmemo.com. We will confirm receipt and respond within 30 days, or tell you if we need more time. We may need to verify your identity first, and an authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If your request concerns data held inside a customer's AltMemo deployment, the customer is the controller of that data. Please contact that organization directly; we will support them in responding as their agreement provides.

AltMemo is an enterprise product sold to organizations. This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as our website, service providers, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will provide additional notice — for example, a notice on the website or an email to affected contacts. Contractual commitments made to customers in their agreements take precedence over this website policy for their deployments.
